About us

History of Our School

Mzamomtsha Primary School, nestled between the Khayelitsha and Umfuleni Townships in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, stands as a beacon of educational excellence and community support in the semi-township area of Drift Sands. Originally established to serve grades 1 through 7 , the school has adapted to the rapidly growing population, now accommodating students up to grade 12. This expansion reflects the dynamic needs of the Drift Sands community, which has evolved from an informal settlement into a developed township with modern housing units, thanks to substantial support from the South African government. Under the leadership of Mr. Simphiwe Khuze, who joined as headmaster in 2007, Mzamomtsha Primary School has become a cornerstone of education and development in the area.
